About
Dr. Christa Corbett grew up in the Finger Lakes of New York, and studied Biology at the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford. She then moved to Prince Edward Island, Canada for her degree as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Two years of internship followed at Long Island Veterinary Specialists, and then she headed to the midwest and studied Veterinary Clinical Science and Comparative Ophthalmology graduating with her MS & DACVO from The Ohio State University in 2010.
She began practicing Veterinary Ophthalmology in Columbus, Ohio for three years, and was a consultant for the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. She moved to Albany, NY in 2013 and started at Capital District in 2023. Dr. Corbett will treat all mammalian species, and select reptilians, and she has a special love for pocket pets and labradors.
When Dr. Corbett is not on duty, she enjoys spending time in the Adirondack mountains with her husband, labradors, and cat. She is a winter sports enthusiast, and volunteers at Gore Mountain as a member of the National Ski Patrol.
