About

Dr. Melanie Brennan grew up in Connecticut and received her MS in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut in 2002. She went on to graduate with her DVM from Tufts Veterinary School in Massachusetts in 2006. She moved to the Capital District after graduation, and has enjoyed working at several local small animal hospitals over the past sixteen years. She is excited to utilize her skills in this new chapter of her career as a member of the emergency medicine team at Capital District. She is honored to be able to help pets and their owners through some of their most difficult days (and nights). Dr. Brennan especially enjoys surgery.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Brennan enjoys spending time with her wife, two teenage daughters, and toddler son. She also enjoys yoga, travel, and all things chihuahua.
